Who We Are
The Chicago Public League Basketball Coaches Association is a
not-for-profit organization of coaches in the Chicago Public
Schools. The organization was formed to provide a platform for
mutual interest, a place to settle disputes and a working ground
for making modifications for the improvement of the caliber of
basketball in the Chicago Public High School Basketball
League. Other goals of the organization include:

To promote brotherhood and comradeship amongst the Chicago Public
League coaches by providing a platform for mutual interest, a place
to settle disputes, and a working ground for making modifications
for the improvement of the caliber of basketball in the Chicago
Public League.

To assist existing departments and supervisory persons in the
operation of the quality basketball programs for the public schools
of the city of Chicago.

To improve coaching and related administrative skills in the effort
to upgrade our athletes in the Chicago Public Schools

To support the educational goals of the Chicago Board of Education
by demanding higher standards of academic eligibility and
maintaining basketball as an educational experience.

To establish and maintain acceptable standards of coaching conduct
and decorum during athletic contest and in tall related activities.

To insist on conciliatory attitudes and action by athletes
participating in the Chicago Public League
