Who We Are

The Chicago Public League Basketball Coaches Association is a not-for-profit organization of coaches in the Chicago Public Schools. The organization was formed to provide a platform for mutual interest, a place to settle disputes and a working ground for making modifications for the improvement of the caliber of basketball in the Chicago Public High School Basketball League. Other goals of the organization include:

• To promote brotherhood and comradeship amongst the Chicago Public League coaches by providing a platform for mutual interest, a place to settle disputes, and a working ground for making modifications for the improvement of the caliber of basketball in the Chicago Public League.
• To assist existing departments and supervisory persons in the operation of the quality basketball programs for the public schools of the city of Chicago.
• To improve coaching and related administrative skills in the effort to upgrade our athletes in the Chicago Public Schools
• To support the educational goals of the Chicago Board of Education by demanding higher standards of academic eligibility and maintaining basketball as an educational experience.
• To establish and maintain acceptable standards of coaching conduct and decorum during athletic contest and in tall related activities.
• To insist on conciliatory attitudes and action by athletes participating in the Chicago Public League
